As a designer at Brand Knew, I had the incredible opportunity to work on AVP’s social campaigns and website graphics. AVP, standing for "Association of Volleyball Professionals," is an iconic organization with a rich history in the sport. The incorporation of gritty textures was a deliberate choice to not only evoke the feeling of sand, but emphasize the intense nature of the sport. These textures are paired with vibrant colors that represent excitement and a competitive spirit. Among the many assets I created for AVP, I also crafted the logo for their 40th anniversary.
The 40th anniversary campaign serves as a representation of the organization's rich history and exciting future. The 40th anniversary branding captures the energy and passion of AVP, while also paying tribute to the legendary athletes who helped shape the organization. The logo features the iconic Jumpman, amidst the '40' framework. With powerful momentum, the Jumpman propels forward, symbolizing a break from the past 40 years and into a new era of beach volleyball.
Buds Budding was looking to revitalize their existing logo, aiming to infuse it with personality and charm while staying true to its floral roots. The challenge? Creating a logo that not only embodies an anthropomorphic flower, but also tells a story– of a bud joyfully offering a bouquet to their buds, perfectly aligning with the company’s playful name, “Buds Budding.”
The project was all about injecting life and energy into the logo, incorporating human characteristics into a non-human entity. Additionally, color and typography explorations were conducted to ensure a cohesive and captivating presence across social media platforms.
The journey was a delightful exploration of merging nature’s beauty with human whimsy. From crafting expressive facial features to delicate petal “hair,” every detail was designed to breathe life and personality into the logo. The end result is a vibrant, visually engaging logo that embodies the brand and owner, Rebekah’s, essence.

Well Studio, Los Angeles, CA
Well Studio is a space for whole body wellness and good health. Lymphatic massages are their primary offering. When considering the logo, the client wanted something that tapped into trendy designs while remaining timeless. This custom “W” shape is inspired by the various lymphatic drainage tools and the interesting curves and negative spaces they create. A four-pointed star doubles as a period marker under the “W” as well as the dot of the “i” in the wordmark. The star is meant to express that post-massage feeling – like you’re shiny and new. Stars also symbolize positivity, happiness, and renewal. The logo is enclosed in a circle, the ultimate representation of life, wholeness, and the self. Well Studio is the ultimate form of self-care.

Causathon serves as a dynamic platform, empowering creatives to contribute more than just financial support; here, they can donate their creative abilities. Their talents have the power to make a substantial impact on resource-stretched organizations worldwide.
In crafting their brand, it was important to create a vibrant core, aimed at attracting creatives and make the act of donating appear both fun and cool.
A distinct touch to the Causathon word mark involves the deliberate omission of the crossbars in the letter “A,” serving as a nod to puzzle pieces, symbolizing Causathon fulfilling a need. This alteration creates a framing around “US,” further highlighting that Causathon is a collaborative partnership. The patterns incorporated in the branding reference the very basic elements and principles of design: color, line, shape, repetition, scale, and balance.

I had the privilege of creating the branding for The Impact Foundation, a nonprofit committed to supporting individuals and families in the fight against addiction. The logomark is a simplistic, yet meaningful representation of the foundation’s mission. The lowercase “i” represents the individual, while the “f” symbolizes the obstacles they face. Often, these obstacles make us feel small and overwhelmed. Between the individual and their challenges lies a clear path, guiding them toward The Impact Foundation.
To further reinforce this message, I used an ultra-bold weight for “Impact” to represent being heard, standing strong, and providing a solid support system. The wordmark is loud and proud, communicating that the foundation means business, yet remains approachable and welcoming.

Moi is an aperitif style beverage made from botanical medicines prescribed for stress and anxiety. Moi comes from The Dutch “Mooi,” an informal South African English word for Afrikaners meaning beautiful, pretty, nice, good, wonderful or great.

Sun • Bright • Relaxation • Earth • Natural
The roundness of the logomark is a nod to the sun, which represents life and the self. Circles are commonly associated with wholeness and totality. Spiritually, it represents a supernatural motion that keeps things moving continuously. The hand drawn typography is organic, fluid, and relaxed —similar to the way you feel when consuming this beverage. The logomark as a whole was given a stamp-like texture to make it feel more natural and earthy.
Hands are a powerful symbol of support, protection, generosity, and hospitality that have been extensively used in logos within the non-profit space. However, this concept offers a fresh and contemporary interpretation that is less literal. The hands' curves elegantly mirror the word mark, creating a cohesive design. The left hand seamlessly transforms into an "A" while the right hand transforms into a "B," resulting in a unique and memorable logo mark.
The intricate maze-like lines within the hands were inspired by the idea of finding one's way–a skill essential in problem-solving, fine motor control, and visual motor skills, particularly in children. The logo also serves as a representation of individuals lending a helping hand, emphasizing the organization's commitment to supporting and fostering growth among its beneficiaries.

Ghost Vacation is a Los Angeles based indie rock band. Their sound is a blend of elements of indie rock, noise pop, and dreamy ambient textures equally informed by gritty synth and drum machines.
The album art was inspired by surreal spaces and dream-like states to mirror the sound journey of Controller. The goal was to create a cover that was equally familiar as it was surreal. The surrounding line work serves as a frame, as if you’re peering into a new universe.
Controller is the second EP from Ghost Vacation.
Blue Ridge Academy, a K-12 Charter school, was looking to create a mascot to compliment their existing logo. They collectively decided on using a bear to represent their school.
The Blue Ridge Academy Bear is a traditional take on a school mascot, using more expressive lines and over simplified details. The bear’s facial expression displays ferocity without being too literal or scary, taking the younger students into consideration. The fur on top of the bears head is shaped like the mountain peaks in the original Blue Ridge Academy logo. “BEARS” was stylized using Copperplate, the same typeface used in the original logo.

The Meyers’ were getting married at a winery in Agoura Hills, CA. Stylistically, their poster is a blend of National Park and concert posters.
The Ytuartes’ were getting married in Santa Barbara, CA. Although this is an image of the SB courthouse, they were inspired by the Funk Zone and Roy Lichtenstein’s Pop Art style. The Funk Zone is an eclectic area of SB with lots of wineries, breweries, and fun, vibrant street art.
